When you hire Major Dudes you are not only getting a group of dedicated and trained musicians, with three lead vocalists, but also a carefully considered presentation of sound.
The band uses state-of-the-art sound equipment. If you look at gig photos you might notice there are no speakers on stage - no guitar amps, bass amps, or keyboard amps. There are no floor wedge monitors facing the musicians because they all use IE (in-ear) monitors. The drum kit is fully digital. All of the sound comes out of the PA speaker array, just like a big home stereo system. During sound check the volume level is checked using a decibel meter. What this means for the venue is complete volume control… one master fader on the mixing board for overall volume level. No more booming bass, no more over-loud snare drum hits or screeching guitar volume.
Major Dudes has a crew of two additional helpers for load-in and load-out and who also monitor and mix sound levels from the audience perspective. It is the goal of the band to deliver a professional product that enhances the venue at sound levels that do not interfere with business.
